70 years ago today, the U.S. 398th Bomb Group mistakenly dropped it's payload on Prague during the bombing runs on Dresden, Germany on February 14, 1945.

My father was a member of the 398th BG but did not participate in the Feb. 14 mission. In fact he was rushed into his first mission the following day because most of the 398th's plane had not returned yet from the Prague blunder. I have written about that April 14 mission in my blog from last February.
